Sporthotel Rust

Mit meinen Rollstuhl konnten wir alle Bereiche problemlos erreichen.||Das Zimmer top, großzügiges Behinderten Bad!||Ein sehr schöner Speisesaal, üppige Frühstücksbar, freundliches Personal.||Das Mittagessen gut.||Nach dem Besuch von Nabucco, konnten wir Dank eines sehr freundlichen Obers noch ordentlich nachfeiern!||Wir werden sicher nächstes Jahr wieder die Annehmlichkeiten des Sporthotels in Rust in Anspruch nehmen!||Es passte einfach alles! Danke!

Essen trinken gut,personal minus

We were a party of 7 staying for a night prior to a wedding. We had no great expectations, our only need was to get a good night's sleep. Even in that we were disappointed. ||The rooms are rundown, especially the bathrooms are not up to current standards. Every sound from the hallway and the neighbouring rooms was really loud and I woke several times thinking that someone was actually in the room! ||We all had similar experiences at night, and met at the breakfast table to encounter another disappointment. No individual touch, no local foods, very limited choice. ||All in all you got the impression that no one identified with the place, no one cared, and therefore you felt not taken care of. ||Definitely not coming back.

This was our second visit to Rust in two years; it is in our opinion the place to go when in Burgenland for wine tasting combined with stork watching. A strange combination but never the lest enjoyable. The previous year we had stayed at a far more expensive hotel nearer the lake and found the food disappointing. So this was an attempt to get similar facilities but at a lower price and on a B&B basis and make use of the large choice of eateries in Rust. ||So did we succeed, well yes in part, this hotel is clean, and if you get a room at the back quiet and with a view over the lake The breakfast isn't the best in Austria but its an adequate continental style in both choice and quality. The facilities were similar to those at the other hotel in Rust we stayed in last year, but shared some of the down sides, call me a softie but I like a pool to relax in not one at a temperature where when you stop swimming you freeze. Even my wife who likes out door pools and lakes found it a little cool. I wandered off to the sauna area to warm up, but that was not in use and seemed to be nearly as cold as the pool.||On the plus side this is a quiet, well-positioned hotel from which you can visit the many wineries within the small town of Rust and beyond or partake in the many pursuits on or around the lake. ||I would not rule this hotel out if you want the sports facilities but we picked up the details of smaller and cheaper hotels and guesthouses for our next trip.
